HUMAN BOWEN THERAPY
I am a registered Bowtech Bowen practitioner, graduating in 2018. I am able to assist your body to heal using direct but gentle manipulation of the Muscles, Tendons, Fascia, Ligaments, Joints and nerves. The Bowen technique supports the muscular-skeletal framework, the nervous system and internal organs.

The Bowen technique may be considered for Neck, Shoulder, Back, pelvic pain, knee problems, ankle and foot problems plus many more.
I have a treatment room in my home, it is very relaxing and most people either have a wee snooze while being treated or feel extreme relaxation. You stay fully clothed during the treatment, and it is safe for all ages including newborn babies, pregnant woman and elderly.

EQUINE MUSCLE RELEASE THERAPY (EMRT)
I first became interested in EMRT and Bowen when I was using it on my own horse and could see how effective it was compared to some of the other types of body work I had been using.

I qualified as an EMRT practitioner graduating from the Equus college of learning and research in Australia in 2008.
EMRT IS the original Bowen for horses and uses a series of gentle, manipulative procedures which re-align the horse body, balancing and stimulating energy flows and thus empowering the body’s own resources to heal itself.

It is body honoring, clears lactic acid buildups and stimulates internal organ functions. It is safe for foals as well as the older horse.

EQUINE DENTISTRY
I graduated from the American school of equine dentistry March 2003.

I believe in working in a holistic way with using hand tools 95% of the time and only working on sedated horses when needed.

I am thorough in my dental work and will complete paperwork after each session to keep you up to date with the health of your horse’s mouth.

I put bit seats on all riding horses and do a performance

ABOUT SHELLEY
I spent my childhood growing up on a Dairy farm near Okato in Taranaki and then moving to a sheep and beef farm with my parents in a remote part of the King Country.

I have been riding horses since I was 4 years old, going to pony club. I have also worked in the thoroughbred racing industry, starting off as an apprentice Jockey and working on a large thoroughbred breeding stud farm in Waikato.
I have played Polocrosse and have worked at starting young horses. I now enjoy competing in long distance horse racing (endurance riding) on and off for over 40 years.

I love going to a horse’s home and having a look at the whole picture holistically.
With my experience as a horse dentist, body worker, for you and your horse, as well as now training in independent saddle fitting, I can help you get your horse happy and comfortable no matter what type of riding you are doing.
